Beautiful Bratislava!
... Vienna. After being teased with the smell of pizza the night before, we set off for some slices in the Centrum. We weren't disappointed! After that it was a hunt for some delicious apple strudel! We rejected a few strudels when they didn't look up to snuff, and finally settled on a place under one of the museums. This strudel was worth the wait! ... Patio Hostel for only 10 euro a night which also included a towel and bed linens. I do have a small travel towel but it is always nice when the hostel loans you one so you dont have to mess with packing a wet towel. The savings of 4 euro a night might not seem like it is worth it to pack up and switch hostels but when all of your money is outgoing and not a penny of it is incoming, it makes a huge difference. ... have done had I had more time would have been to go up into the UFO bar. The UFO bar is reminiscient of the space needle but it is built above a bridge that crosses over the Danube. It also has an observation deck and a restaurant, but one thing the old Space Needle has a leg up on is that the UFO bar does not rotate. :)
I then hopped on a train to Budapest...I will have to save that entry for another day as my time here is just beginning.

Bratislava = Dull
... floor of a shopping complex, it turned out) Bratislava could do with some more activities - even the tourist info people looked bored out of their minds. Horse riding, climbing, caving, all of these things should be accessible, it's a bit sad for the Slovakian tourism industry when the main selling point of Bratislava is a day trip to Vienna. The two cities are the closest capital cities in Europe, but it does speak volumes about Bratislava unfortunately. Now. How to spend 12 hours ...
