The Train is in every one hour and buses in 20 minutes. Keep a check on the last bus from Sirmione when you head back.

        • One can also take Trenitalia to Desenzano and then take a bus to Verona and alight ...

The interior was largely empty but it had some wonderful 14th century frescoes & in the crypt the Saint’s clothed bones in a glass case. It is a magnificent example of the early architecture with a fine cloister beside the basilica. Put the clothes in the dryer ...

... is used for concerts in good weather. We did not tour the interior or ramparts as there is on-going construction. From the arena, we strolled Via Mazzini, the high end shopping street of Verona. Gucci, Prada, etc can be found here. Great looking Italian fashions with prices to match. Via Mazzini took us down to Piazza Erbe where there was an open market set up selling fruits and vegetables, souvenirs and clothing accessories (hats, scarves, gloves). ...

We left our apartment in Lezzeno about 10:00am for our drive to Verona. The first hour required us to navigate the narrow winding roadway of Lake Como as well as the many cyclists out for a Sunday ride. Given we have no timetable, there was no need to hurry.

We drove about three hours including a couple of stops along the way. We arrived in Verona about 1:30pm at our hotel in the ...
