    ... the cable car up the hill and ended up driving the 11 kms to the top and parking instead.

    After wandering around and checking the place out, we went up a funicular (cable car) above the monastery, and back down - it was pretty cool.     ... 30 kms like we did in London, or possibly more. And it is hot here. Again cloudless, and temperature in high 20s. But despite the kms and the heat, it is such a superb city, with wonderful buildings and wide boulevards, it was just a joy.     ... a place called Domino Bar. They are famous for making every drink imaginable and making up anything you might want. We started out with a variety of concoctions and moved on to different choices. Shy guy John ended up behind the bar trying out his talents with the martini shaker. Who knew?
