Up at 6am to ensure we get through the rest of Sardinia and across to Corsica before dark. Once again little wind so we motor on up and cruise through the Maddalena's. Very pretty and lots of large expensive yachts floating around. Making good time we head across the Bonafacia Straights and into port. A very unique harbour and hopefully time to explore tomorrow morning before we head off to Minorca - it's all go here but have to keep moving whilst weather is good for ...

... restaurant right on the water right on the water. I loved it. The food here was amazing. We are, however in France. Eldon did the set tourist menu of the day, and I had a stuffed chicken breast with fennel and orange vinaigrette. Mine was delicious; I also had mashed potatoes with pesto in them. I have to remember to make this sometime and surprise my guests for ...

I got pooped on by one big bird one evening. I was being stubborn. Eldon wanted to see more of the town, and I was done for the day. Thankfully I had my t-shirt off ...

... I wasn't that keen to go inside a grotto. But in we went, all ohhhing and ahhing. It was pretty spectacular inside, a cave inside a cave. Expected to see Johnny Depp or his dad, sorely disappointed on that score. It is very "piratey" around these parts and apparently there is a strong, and long, history of piracy in the region. Hence my expectation. From the boat tour we we went walking through the citadel and ...

... lunch today. On the way to to the ferry we had planned to stop to see the other Nuraghic ruins that we didn't see the other day, These were supposed to be bigger and better, and they didn't disappoint. The most impressive was a village covering 4 hectares. The biggest most complete tower was the central meeting area for the village and the chiefs dig's. These are round houses 2 stories tall made completely of stones. ...
