... and get dressed up for dinner. Avi, Angela and I decided to leave the beach and head back to La Laguna for some Barraquitos. We got to have some great conversations about the tough life of a premed and the hardships of science research, and we enjoyed giggling obnoxiously at all the dogs that walked by in the street. Along the way, I picked up a nice little gift for my girlfriend, and I realized that I had left my Sperry's at the beach...oops!

At about 8:15, we all took the ...

... the entire conversation was in English, and she asked Laura for permission to leave that day. It was her birthday, and her husband had been sleeping in the hospital since the day she arrived (about two weeks--talk about a devoted husband), so she wanted to be able to experience the island and celebrate her day with him. The bars and cafes are tourist orientated, it is indeed a tourist place and the attraction is the perfect climate, good swimming or surfing, ample restraunts and bars together with warmish sea for this time of the year. For people enjoying their holidays or early retirement it could ...

... ocean floor wasn't even visible anymore--one of the most terrifying/liberating things I've ever done. Luckily the current wasn't that strong where we were, so we all made it out and back to the shore. I had a really good time with the other fellows, and I got an awesome work out and tan, so it was a successful beach day for sure! We had lunch at this little restaurant about an hour away from the beach, where we ate fried chicken and potatoes. It was one of the best meals we've eaten ...
