    Chill day of doing nothing

... was excellent again. I still find it really strange trying to get used to this Spanish schedule. They do everything so late at night. I’m used to eating dinner between 6pm and 7pm, but they eat between 10pm and 11pm. It’s very strange. There’s no time between eating a big meal and going to bed. I’ve always thought that is really unhealthy, but Spanish people look pretty healthy to me. Maybe they’re onto ...

Last week was super busy with schoolwork!! On Tuesday I had my language midterm which had way more vocab on it then i was expecting. So that was fun. On wednesday I had my literature midterm that I felt went pretty well. It was a lot of writing and my hand hurt at the end, but it was okay. On thursday there was a fiesta so I didn't have school which was nice because I had to study for an econ midterm and write a 5 page paper for literature. ...

... And it's clean. And there's nobody asking you for change or basically living on the train.

Madrid is really unlike anywhere I've been. The streets can be hard to navigate because they twist and turn every which way, and the smaller side street names change when they intersect with bigger streets, even if the smaller street "continues" on the other side. The architecture is beautiful and very... European. I also love that most restaurants have ...

... is made entirely of rope, and it's sort of like a big obstacle course that's like 4 to 5 feet off the ground without any safety harnesses. You have to make your way across all different types of set ups. There bridges and spider webs and the equivalent of rope monkey bars. Although maybe not the most "Madrid" thing we could have done, it was still pretty enjoyable. Katie, Heather, and Kayla were pretty tired, so Hannah and I walked them to ...
