... nectar. I sit cross legged with the entrancing chants and warm sun washing over me. This is certainly a spectacular, very special and peaceful place. As we look to the top of the Golden Temple we see flitting kites in practice for tomorrow.

... just a vague turn this way or that way and then nod their head side to side and in Punjabi say "you can't miss it". Our driver never fully understood or listened to the directions, never thanked them either and would always drive away and cut them off mid-sentence. He first succeeded in taking us to the " Rose Garden” and then blamed the Sardar (Sikh that wears a turban) cyclist for giving us wrong directions. We did eventually get to Rock Garden and ...

Sorted out my being polite to strangers problem and have learned that the touts are much easier to deal with if you maintain a constatnt state of being a little bit drunk (2 large Kingfishers every few hours should just about do it).
