        ... Definitely a locals place, though it was quiet when we arrived at 8:15 pm. For the cost of a bottle of wine (12€) we got 4 free tapas of our choice and we ordered 2 more for a cost of 2€ each- total bill = 16€. And the tapas were good. The place soon filled up and within the hour, the place was hopping with families with children, couples and groups of friends all chatting in Spanish. We were able to pick up some provisions for the trip at the ...

        ... our cash situation. A few towns ago we discovered we were not able to use my bank debit card, and so have been getting cash via advances on our credit card. Today, we finally were able locate a payphone (not easy to find), and after about 45 minutes working with the kind man in the bar where the phone was housed, I was able to call the bank (4am their time). It turns out access to my bank account has been blocked because of 3 unsuccessful attempts ...

        ... and perigrinos (pilgrims) walk by. A few things we´ve learned about meals here:
        - Mixed salad always has canned tuna (packed in oil) on it
        - There are no salad dressings, but oil and vinegar bottles are on the table
        - You are always brought a small basket of very, very hard bread ... and then you are charged about 2 Euro for it
        - Plates come out when they are ready, or when your server feels like bringing them ... we have not ...

        ... and often served as house wine. I found this not to be the case in Spain and their Tinto de Casa is always a wine from the local region and it is good.Every bottle of wine sold has a cork.English is hardly spoken and signs in English are not prominent.
