But the busloads of Japanese and British tourists didn’t detract from the beauty of the gardens, and I must have taken 200 photos. The gift shop was a bit different than the usual ones we’ve seen – in addition to the usual junk, they had two original Monets on sale (for a mere $1.4 million Euro).
Today was our first official full day in Paris! We were so tired from yesterday's travels so we slept in a little and headed out around 10:00. We had a late breakfast at a cafe nearby before making our way to the Arc de Triomphe which conveniently is only a couple of minutes away from our hotel.
