... Paris prices, a lunch of €45 is not something that we will be enjoying to often this trip but the food was great and the beer was plenty cold.
After lunch we headed back to check in, desperately in need of freshening up.
Our first night in the city of love we decided to spend in front of its already mentioned famous tower, on the way to the Champ de Mars we grabbed some typically French supplies of soft cheese, meat, baguette and of course a red wine.

We got up early since our body clocks were still on Dallas time this morning. A lovely breakfast and our first stop was Musee de l'Orangerie to see the impressionist masters: Monet, Renoir, Gaugin, Picasso, Matisse, etc. The 8 enormous canvases of Monet's Water Lilies in 2 oval rooms (4 in each room) were spectacular. But even the smallest works, like Renoir's Peches (peaches), made an impression (sorry for the pun).
A mid-morning snack of Nutella crepes boosted our energy ...
