    ... hour or so to one of the prettiest places I have ever seen. Oh My Lord! Rothenburg is a fortified town and driving through the massive stone arched gate is like opening up a fairytale book. Try and remember the most beautiful fairytale setting you can, and I can pretty much guarantee Rothenburg is that place. Fairytale, there is no other way to describe it.     ... sedimentary rocks are like compresses layers that flake. Many contain fossils of plants birds animals and fish. Some seem to be caught in action poses. It was difficult to believe they were real. They are so detailed. We got back to Henfenfeld to find steam trains about to depart and Stephanie and Marco starving. We went to a Greek restaurant and ate yiros salad and Cordon bleu. It was a great day and Dortmund won the soccer. Pity about the Ashes test ...

    At the end of some very enjoyable hours wandering without much specific intent, we headed back to "The Benedict's" place and engaged in a backyard BBQ which incorporated various languages, much german sausage intake and many laughing kids and giggling babies.

    ... different colours, to make sure I would get the right way, as he understands too, getting into a city is easy, but out......anyway, his help is greatly appreciated. (I hope he reads this message)
    The attached pictures will give you a little impression of today. As in Nurnberg, the warm weather seems to bring people in a real festive mood, an African music festival currently here in Bayreuth topped it really up!
