... was a disappointing choice as the service was brusque and the food so so. We still enjoyed the walk through town with a stop for coffee and alfajor at Havana on the way back to the hotel - passing Samba on the way, a permanent theme park type ride that spins and jolts to the beat of samba music delighting its passengers. ... a brownie cake, which we had also seen on some restaurant menus. It’s a brownie base with a thin layer of dulce de leche on top, then covered in meringue. Dulce de Leche is a thick caramel sauce or Nestle condensed milk mixed with butter and sugar. We found it in all things sweet in Argentina, it was almost like a subsititute for cream. In Mar de Plata we spotted sea lions and walked around the docks. It reminded us of Whistable in England, without the Sea Lions and with better sea food. ... and expected a light lunch since it was almost 5 pm. The sandwiches arrived and they were huge, the piece of meat (beef lomo) for each sandwich was tender and so big there was more of it over hanging the bread than on it.
