      ... or Ottoman shopping bazaar with narrow, winding pedestrian streets lined with wares.

      These younger guys weren't too keen on their government and all of the borrowing that's going on with the building boom. It wasn't until I was in line at the airport on our flight out to Istanbul that a woman from New York said they had a devastating earthquake 15 years ago or so that leveled all the buildings. I looked it up and it was actually in 1963. ...

      ... past I foolishly believed that by the time we reached Sofia, the weather would improve, but this wasn't to be the case. The lightening had stopped, but the rain continued to hammer down, so a short walk to the hostel, soon became a short taxi ride. Having arrived around midnight, I dashed out to a cashpoint to pay for the hostel, got some sleep before my alarm sounded at 6!

      ... pictures at night, and it looks great at night as well. Unfortunately, the rain persisted the whole time I was out, so the pictures weren’t as good as I was hoping.

      I think I might have changed my plan going forward too. I was going to go north to Serbia, but I think I might go to Kosovo for a night, then Montenegro, and then Serbia. I think that makes more sense logically. We’ll see what happens ...

      ... Eqypt in the Luxor, New York New York, etc. Its also not done yet, so there is a lot of construction. I hope my pictures convey the kind of museum cacophony that is being created. It assumably is to generate tourist revenue, but it an awful lot of money being spent in a poor country solely for appearances.

      From Split I jumped on a bus towards Motengro. A small portion of this bus ride went through Bosnia-Herzegovina, as in less than 30 minutes. We probably spent more time at the border crossings than we did in the actual country. Late at night I finally arrived at to be final stop.
