... makes it almost impossible to throw out trash (there is a 4 page manual on how to throw out trash and you have to buy special bags that cost $25 francs for 5), but ensures that the public transportation and train system is amazing and always right on schedule - to the second.

Also, the entire country closes on Sunday, which isn't very good when you arrive on a Sunday with no food - let's say I was a little hangry to say the least, but ...

... got pretty cold in the snow - because for some reason they still have outdoor shopping malls, like queen street in Brisbane. It was nice at first till it started getting too cold. Then we went to the only other thing in the town which was open, which was the Zeppelin Museum. It turns out this was pretty much the home of the Zeppelin - or where they were built anyway. We had a walk around and quite a few exhibits had English translations which was good. I'm not ...

... there are lots of shops and cafes along the waterfront which look like they will be nice when they are open. Boxing day here there are no sales - everything is still closed. We had a walk around anyway and went up a lookout which was about 10 floors high of just stairs and then a platform on top to look over the lake. It swayed in the wind a bit which was pretty freaky! ... Allmendingen to begin my reality! My final adventure for the festive season was celebrating New Year at our friend Sebastian's house in Ulm, about half an hour from Allmendingen. ... br> Wanting to avoid the busy road, I take a side trail which I hope will run parallel, which takes me high up the mountain, dead ending at a landfill tucked away in the forest... so it's back the trail once again.
