This morning was an early start (6 AM) to catch the TGV train to Geneva. We had to take the metro to Paris Lyon, where we bought lunch for on the train, and then caught it to Switzerland. It was a bit slower than the Eurostar and took around 4:30. Otherwise it all went smoothly though. Once in Geneva, we caught the tram to CERN, the end of the line, and were slowly transferred ...

The Olympic museum has recently undergone a huge renovation. Tony and I had been to see it over 15 years ago and it was beautiful then.

That morning, Angela made coffee for us (she didn't even need to read ...

... inthe fridge ….Angela was right. Ok. officially desperation had set in. It was now 18:00hrs on a Tuesday, we were in a VERY small village in the Valais, the biggest grocery store was 15 minutes away, closing time was imminent and…we had no wine for dinner!!!!! Ah…but silver lining. In all small towns/villages in Switzerland is another chain “Denner”. This is truly ½ the size of a Mac store – there are no shopping ...

Very tired today with jetlag & late night at concert. Praying I will come right. Sharing my room with Roy Stevenson from Seattle who moved from Auckland 30 years ago. I used to compete against him in athletics in the 70s. Claims to be a travel writer which sneaks him into the media ...
