      ... crowd being funneled by nylon netting fences into the four gate system for this chairlift. Just then I got a new message letting me know that the group had moved to another slope.       ... would we do without it) I discovered a cable ski lift not far from the train station that went up to Pila ski fields. When we got off the train it was easy to find, so we joined the line of people carrying skis, sleds and dressed in snow gear, not many people wearing jeans like us!       ... up the wall at a 90 degree angle. If you bent over the basin to clean your teeth your backside hit the far wall, but the breakfast was great, the French sure know how to do crusty bread with ham and cheese and the croissants were to die for.

      After soaking in all the fresh air and clean water and powder skiing we could in 10 days, (it was so nice to see the kids detached from electronic devices!), we headed home to Lyon and to our new flat, leaving the snow and a little Christmas magic behind us.
