... This is just what the vet ordered, I think I'm getting a little arthritic. Both Signor e Signora also enjoy a swim in the slowly cooling Med. The weather is pleasant, 25 c, cloudless but then cools to 17c as the sun goes down. In the afternoon, I am often left in peace as Signor e Signora cycle off to shops or, as today, to the ancient Roman temples of Paestum, a couple of kilometres away. On their return, Signor cooks and Signora takes me on my late afternoon ...

... no cabs in sight, so we opted to walk the 2 km back to the other station. It was hot, but not miserably so. Tonight, we had fabulous dinner (it's been a fabulous kind of day!) and took a walk down to the overlook by the marina. The view was amazing - I could have stood there for hours! We are all feeling great and aren't jet lagged at all, so we're thankful for that. We have learned that you need to hold onto your euro coins so that you can ...

... and cakes. The service is great and I found myself going there every time we were in town. It is also price moderately and fair. Another restuarant the I would recommend is La Gemma located in the center but above all the chaos of tourists. The ambiance was great and the food was superb. It is great for a romantic dining experience especially if you find yourself dining by yourselves in the outside area. Make sure to check out the stores as well and even buy a bottle ...

... just want back down to the town instead. Rebecca and I had amazing gelato for lunch (of course I had to try the lemon because that's what the area is famous for) and sat out on the pier and ate it. The wind had picked up a bit so after a bit more wandering around we went back to the hotel to enjoy some siesta time! Just before sunset we went out to the big pier with a bottle of wine and watched the amazing sunset. It was almost a new moon which made it just that ...

... long. The ride back was just as pretty, since I managed to get a seat on the best side even though the bus was so full some people were standing. Standing on that route, around all the winding corners, would not have been fun.

I brought Ben (and Ben's poor knee) home a nice block of white chocolate from my adventure that was only slightly pre-nibbled.

    Peace, love and limoncella,
