    Good service, rooms were comfortable and very authentic seeming.
    In a good part of town with a good view of the city

    ... Chateau de Chenonceau. This one was Mummy's favourite. It looked like the Disneyland castle! After walking through a beautiful grove, Ben noticed 2 statutes that looked Egyptian. As well as having a castle that was beautiful (home to 5 French Queens), it had excellent gardens with beautiful fountains. Ben and Jon had fun running through the gardens. Each winter, the 1,015 lime trees on the estate take a team of four gardeners three months to prune. 115,000 flowers and vegetables are planted out each year. What was really lovely was that the plants were labelled which made it so much more interesting. We did think of our friends Deb and George J and nephew Tim as we wandered through the gardens.
