... little market town. The weather didn't show up but I did get to see the Royal Chateux, a world heritage site. This was also the final resting place of Leonardo Da Vinci, who knew! I stayed in a great little hotel and wondered the town as the sun went down, out of season, its a ghost town but that's exactly what I needed, peace and quiet.
The day I spent in Blois I went to the Royal Château of Blois. This castle is particularly impressive because of how it was built over a period of time. You can clearly see the different influences of the gothic, flamboyant, renaissance and classicism periods and styles in its construction. I was really wanting to visit the Maison de la Magie (House of Magic) however it was closed until the 4th April. So instead I went to the Museum ...
Next the drive to Amboise, Everyone seems to think its amazing me doing this on my own, but today I met a young couple with bicycles and trailers travelling with 3 toddlers and a tent they had come from the south of France and were planning to cycle to Austria WOW!
Visited the lovely home of Leonardo De Vinci, I loved it here and enjoyed seeing the gardens which had a number models of his inventions ...
