... to Verona a change of trains and then on to Milano. Our taxi driver was a bit late because of traffic. He decided to take us down the Roman road to avoid the main roads. This was small and in Aus is it would be one lane/way only. Not here! He gave us a lovely history lesson on the way. ... blackberries, grapes and plums. After about 8 km we ended at the lake and had a lovely swim. The water was cool and it was very different to the dams back home. Clear water instead of murky, pebbles instead of mud, sunbathers on grass, deck chairs and towels instead of sandy beach, there was one little caravan for food and the town really did not meet the touristy bit. After washing everything late the night before due to getting in late. We packed our nearly dry washing into our bags. We didn't have much food for breakfast as Rae and Shane had not shopped before they left and no shops were open. We found a piece of cheese and had some crackers. ... We did then decide to take the train home. It was a 37 min train ride. When we took the bike back there taunting us was ladies cruiser ebikes and helmets. Bryan got a thump for that.
