... paintings in the main one over the altar and the nave. Quite modest in comparison to St Peters in Rome or the Palais Versailles. Spent a bit of time wandering the streets of Montmartre. Certainly is an interesting part of Paris with its narrow streets and steps down to the rest of town. ... it was so busy. Two French girls whizzed by me at lightning pace and I thought right, I'm running with them. I followed them weaving in and out of people for 2km but couldn't keep up from then on. They left me behind.
