The Copa Libertadores is the Central and South American version of the European Champions League. Had a lucky guess the stadium capacity would be 35,000. Paid attendance was 26,000 plus. Some wore the jersey of the home Morelia Monarchs. Jim had a chuckle at the 'no bananas' rule.

... Where we will visit will be smaller venues with few tourists ie a double winner. Sid oriented us in the main square and then we all went off to the Plaza Chica to have a bit more lunch, eating local. I had a torta [toasted sandwich] with cheese and chicken, jalapenos on offer in a large jar 25 MP. Those interested in a group dinner will meet Sid at 1930 at the main statue in the Plaza Grande.
