... to get between any two given cities on this continent. To do so sometimes requires flying all the way across Africa before connecting to a flight that will bring one back to the desired city, which may not be that far away from the departure city, as the African crow flies. Or, I sometimes wonder, perhaps that is the way African crows actually fly…..

I had to change my schedule after the initial booking, to take into account decisions that ...

... to say good bye. But the 2 hours seemed worth all the trouble. All’s well that ends well.

I spent one week in Cameroon after my return where I visited the North West region and met some friends I hadn't seen in a while. Upon my return to Yaounde, I met Graham - again!! He stayed around for a day before heading back to his village (Yagoua). I did get to say good bye to him for the 4th time :) I was also visited in Yaounde by one of my closest ...

Today was another very full day. Mr. Mabout arrived late, he wasn't feeling well, and we drove to the hall. The center of the city was rather empty due to it being Easter, but as we left the business centers, the streets filled with people who couldn’t afford to take a day off. I noticed that we passed the Melrose Place hair salon along the way....

We started the presentations right away on arrival. I gave a first seminar on the topic ...

... full of books, we have books in every bedroom (more than my wife cares for in ours), and I have more boxes of them in the basement for which I don’t have shelf space at the moment. A gentle madness is how one author described the love of books.

Anyway back to the Kindle: I’m quite impressed with it so far. The screen is easily readable and not at all tiring to the eyes. The least-expensive model that I bought is supposed to have room ...

My 3 hour stay with the police

... me if I had been to Africa before, and I said, yes, I had been to Egypt and Morocco. They disregarded it and said, but they are white, youve never been to Africa. I guess Ive never been then.

It is beautiful here. The weather is a bit warm and humid for my taste, but the birds sing beautifully, the papaya is heavenly, and there is classical music playing from some place that I cant point out. I leave tomorrow for my trip to Cameroon.
