... timing, it turned out that two of the champs we'd made friends with in Barcelona were to be hanging out in Ios at the same time as us. We'd been in touch and planned to stay at the same hostel so we had guaranteed good times ahead!

Our room wasn't quite ready yet so Dane and I left our bags near reception and headed for the pool bar. I sent Mitch and James a message on Facebook to let them know we had arrived, as they had already been on the island for two ...

... their hearts out, and yep the occasional top comes off and the crowd goes wild. There is literally hundreds of people partying while the sun goes down. Come 10.30/11 the music stops, everyone goes back to their rooms to get ready and hopefully catch the bus in time to the clubs. The worst part is trying to get home a few hours later. Santorini has a micro-climate and the moisture for the vines ...

... relaxation. The night was pretty much a repeat of the night before.

It was awesome to have a day where you could sleep in and not have a time which you had to be up for. There were no plans for today and after two nights of exploring the different bars of Ios, it was nice to just sleep. Most of us just sat around the pool although a few of us did go for a walk around the port. Things here are so cheap to buy and the bakery is fantastic. I definitely recommend getting a ...

... on land we took a private bus (included in the boat ticket) to the top of the hill to Oia. Oia is beautiful. Not as many blue roofed houses as I'd imagined, in fact the only blue roofed buildings are churches. We saw a few of them along the way. We just wandered along one of the paths and oggled at the amazing views. The water is just such a magical blue and the white buildings contrast so nicely. ...
