... good at all! It was crumbly and seemed the consistency of ricotta cheese. We left most of that uneaten.

Off to bed we went. We were settling in and Bryce looked at me and asked if someone was taking a shower outside our room. I looked at him confused. He went and opened the door and it was pouring down crazy rain, and the wind was moving through the trees rather forcefully. We both laughed and shrugged. It is rainy season here. Now we are off thebed to awake to a new day.

... usual bus ride through Wellington that's for sure! We arrived in Playa del Carmen in the early evening to find the streets were buzzing - this really is a party town! After some delicious Mexican food (including guacamole - which I just can't get enough of, the avocado here is so good!) we went for a walk through the streets and soaked up the atmosphere - so much going on, was great to just get amongst it all! They are huge, and there are so many of them. Then when the buffet opened, had breakfast, as we left the resort by 7. Kyle ate a little, as he should have something in his stomach. Then we walked around, and Kyle and Bob got pictures taken with parrots, and an iguana. Toucan Sam was also ...

... than forty different "stations" which will take forever to visit.

The highlight must have been the evening shows, though. It's split in two parts and half way through you switch stage, so you get to see both of them. During the Mexican one, a man in the audience got to propose to his girlfriend - who said yes! Standing ovations! And the Mayan show included a game of what looked like hockey with a ball on fire. Very cool!

Up early, the sun shone down on our backs as we brushed our teeth and showered on the roof of Hostel Rio. Paul joined us for breakfast, and established he was a Southampton fan and it would be fitting to watch the game together. After a few hours on the beautiful beach in Playa, we met Paul at the Tequilla Barrel for a disappointing 2-2 draw, for me anyway! The 3 of us returned to the beach to chat, and as the ...
