      After just a few hours sleep we were up and ready at 6.30am for a 2 hour drive to Salento which is a gorgeous little town at the foot of the Los Nevados N.P. we drove a little further in the Valle de Cocora which is where we started hiking.

      ... city as it is built into a hillside. The neighborhoods are naturally divided by the fact that they are at different heights on the mountain. When I arrived I took a taxi to the hostel and the taxi driver informed me that the women of Manizales have the most beautiful waists, legs and bums because of all the walking they do. I can concur that the women are indeed amazing looking so I have decided that I will be doing as much walking as possible in the next few days.
