Still flat seas but wherever you looked other yachts were motoring 3.15pm engine off at last but only for 1 hour as at 4.15 engine on, what a shame lets hope for more wind tomorrow for going to Ile de yeu. ... to other bars to watch the match. We didn't hear any more cheering, shame as the atmosphere earlier was great.

It continued to rain throughout the night and in the morning. We decided it wasn't worth staying another day - we might as well move on to another place and be wet and miserable there. Without any wrong turns, and home just before 8pm!

It's so light it gets very late before you ...

We both have some trouble sleeping right through the night, still got body clocks lingering on Australian time I suspect. I woke around 4, could hear a rooster crowing and birds singing, and gave up after an hour or so. Made coffee, drank that and orange juice and got dressed and set out with my camera to see the sunrise. Across the little bridge and up the narrow Rue du Petit Fort on the other side, steep cobbles curving steeply up and through the Jerzual ...
