... trail feeling quite good. After 25km today and 26ish yesterday, we figured we would be pretty dead, but i guess all the hauling of our packs around for 10 months has finally paid off. We make our way to the hotel, enjoy a good stretch and sadly start to pack our things for tomorrows departure.

... Chile about Magellan with a Victoria replica. Being so close to southern Chile but not going those extra few hundred miles to visit it, I felt a bit lame. Nothing and nowhere is it mentioned, however, that San Julián also has the exact same thing. Yes, it may sound geeky and boring to be happy to see a boat replica, but I was really pleased at the surprise to find it and that we´d decided to stay the night in San Julian on our way up north. ...

From the summit in the opposite direction was a great view of the valley, and the mother and daughter lakes, and another in the far distance, (which I must research). After a bit of a hairy skid down the first couple of hundred feet, we stopped on a wind sheltered ledge ...
... and, as such, we must play our part in looking after it a lot better than we do now, not only for our own benefit but also for those whose footsteps will follow our own.
