... Fair call, it's funny for a little while, but when you're done, put your clothes back on. Don't stay naked for an unnatural period of time and sunbake.

Dennis, tom and I went to walk around the left hand side of the lake to get to another lake with a glacier, but the walk turned into mountaineering so we gave up after stopping at a lookout. We waited for about 10 minutes at the lookout and then decided it was time to go. On the walk back down there ...

... more town which didn't have a petrol station and that was it. We did see one 'restaurant' right in the middle of nowhere and, strangely, built with a castellated wall and looking like a Welsh castle with a tin shed attached! And that was it. You really don't want to break down!! We reached El Chalten around 6.15 and just outside the village we saw two condors - our first and we had almost resigned ourselves to just seeing pictures. We found the ...

    More Driving,!

Another long drive, planned to bush camp but time was running out and there wasn't really anywhere decent to stop, so we pulled in to the most amazing campsite, on a land spit between two rivers. Beautiful spot and the never ending Patagonian wind died down ...
