Well a shock we got! The lake is pretty but Como is a huge suburb of Milan really. In fact most of the lake has housing surrounding it, albeit rather flash housing :-). Arrived at ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. Well, our week in Milano has come to an end! We had a great time. Toured a few sights. Had a great weekend. Enjoyed the F1 race at Monza. Since our accommodation was relatively close to the Milano Centrale Station, we opted to pull our luggage to the station. We didn't see many taxi's in the area and it likely would've taken longer to flag one down than to simply walk the three or so blocks to the station.

The Centrale station is large ...

Day 5 - Lago di Como

... euro villa in Laglio. I don't think he was in. Our first stop was Bellagio, the most renowned lake town located at the tip of the Y shape. An absolutely stunning place, with streets lined with chic cafés and restaurants. In conjures up images of the traditional affluent Italy, with cobbled streets clopping with designer shoes. Thin streets and steep stairs flanked by pastel yellows and reds house small art galleries, local wines and fine silks. From here we ...
