    ... he was checking what he wanted to play the next day, sunday, at the mass. But they were to close the doors, so, we were asked to leave, while the music was still playing. The next day I went to the mass, just to hear the organ play!

    Zagreb has a "uptown" where the beautiful buildings are, and it is also effectively "up", and then there is "downtown", with the railway station, the shopping area, beautiful parks, the Botanical Garden, and some museums. In ...

    ... Relationships, a funny yet heartbreaking exhibit featuring contributions of items and stories by people all over the world recounting the story of their broken relationships. The three of us found it to be a unique, intimate experience, almost like peering at a glimpse into the reality of someone else. I would highly recommend it to anyone in Zagreb.

    ... We decided to do our own walking tour because we had limited time in Zagreb and we wanted to see only important spots, so we asked the Hostel guy and he drew us a nice map to follow, which we did, stopping in a few bars along the way and seeing the important sights in a few hours.

    ... Zagreb from the top looks a lot like an Italian city with all of its red roofs and Churches. After I came down the stairs I realized I might have taken them a little too hard as my thighs were REALLY hurting. Which is sort of weird because I’ve been exercising and walking a lot most days, but oh well. I took the tram back to Xiaojie’s apartment and hung out for a bit.

    ... Turns out you buy a ticket from a newspaper stand and then take a 50/50 guess at which direction you want to travel in- there are no guides! Suddenly the seemingly impressive network of blue soviet era trams was not looking so good! Luckily I guessed right and was soon at the hostel.
