I think we were on the road before 08:00 this morning. We had a very short uphill section from our overnight stop to rejoin the delightful road which runs over the Cisa pass, and then we were on our way. Again there had been a lot of rain in the night (once more with thunder and lightening) but it had stopped by the time we emerged. From then the day just got better and better and ...

There isn’t much to report from yesterday. It was basically a rest day that involved wandering around Morbegno’s streets as well as running a few personal errands.

Up to Tre Rose for breakfast then Roger met Luca, his riding companion for the morning. They are riding up the mountain out of Nesso and back around. He has been looking forward to this ride. Exploring Nesso is on our list today. Nesso is a reasonable size village, we guess around 1000 maybe 1500 residents. It is perched on then side of the mountain with the houses clinging precariously to the hillside. The main road from Como to Bellagio runs ...

... this very narrow road, avoiding the parked cars and trucks. It took us a while with Michael out giving directions, but eventually we reached the bottom with no incidents. After that experience, we decided we would just go home. We headed back to the ferry terminal and there was a half hour wait. When the ferry attendant saw Wendy reversing into a waiting space she came out and yelled at the bus driver taking up space and a couple of motor cyclists, told them in ...

Although I've only had a few hours in Milan that may be enough, I've seen the sforza castle, I'm surprised that hasn't been turned into a shopping mall, I've been up on the roof of the very gothic duomo, I've been to the famous shopping mall. I'm sure if I was a size 0, loved shopping and had cash to burn I'd love milan. But anyway from my hotel room I can see a tgv train with my name on it, it's time to move ...
