Our second day in Venice began with a delicious breakfast. We then organised ourselves and headed off for a day full of Venetian adventures. We began by wondering around to the Natural History Museum which took place in a grand old palaza. There were many amazing things to do with Venetian Natural History within the museum, including fossils, skeletons and stuffed animals heads that made you feel squeamish and so I had to close my eyes. We thought we would be taking a large bus to Venice, but what we found was a tiny airport shuttle (for a 3 hour ride). Although the drive was somewhat frightening, we arrived safely. This means it is a moment too special to take a photo but we take a mental ...

Mom is telling me I need to keep to blog up beat even though my experience of Venice wasn't. I'll try my best. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to leave Venice. Our second day there we went to the island of Murano and saw the glass blowing master and his son make traditional Venetian chandeliers and horse sculptures. It was one of the coolest and most interesting things I have ever seen! I would have loved to have bought a small vase but it was all hundreds and ...

... 1970's each part of Italy was a separate entity with it's own royal family, culture, and rules/laws. The Doges were the royals of Venice - their palace was their home but also served as the courthouse; they would hand down sentences from the balcony and public executions would occur in front of it. The prison was next door around the back, and the Bridge of Sighs earned it's name because it was said you could hear the sighs of the prisoners as ...
