... is!). Our hotel room was ok by the way, and we had a massive balcony that you had to climb out of the window to access (I’m starting to wonder whether we were actually meant to do this) but the bed was the most uncomfortable thing on earth. It was like trying to sleep on a concrete slab.

so off we went! hand in hand strolling down the streets of Venice. BUT WAIT! panoramic terance? whats this? we haven't even left the hotel yet and we are finding secret panoramic terrances? BOO YA! so up some little stairs we went and found ourselves a beautiful balcony that overlooked the city, with the rialto right next to us, score. (see beautiful sunset pictures :)) with a sunset that easily rivaled our cali gold sunsets. click click click!!!
... boats are not hard to come by. The right vaporetto, however, was a little more difficult to find. We tried quickly to read maps and stops, but even asking two different attendants which boat to take, we were still uncertain (exacerbated by conflicting information from the attendants). After a lazy start to the day, and discussion about wheather it was worth going in today or tomorrow cause tomorrow is Sunday, we decided to see if there was room on the shuttle to go into the city. - There was at 11! so we even got a chance to take the water bus from toretto through the grand canal all the way to Piazza San Marco.
