We started the day with a hot chocolate in Bohinjska Bistrica while the cloud cleared. We sat outside, the sun was lovely! Then we went hiking towards Črna prst (1844m). We didn't go to the summit as the track was hard to navigate. Instead we walked a lovely loop along the river, through beautiful green rolling hills, and past a waterfall. ... the lake! The scenery was beautiful with forests, mountains and waterfalls. Once we made it to the town again we were freezing so headed back to the van for soup. Then we took the main road through Bohinjska to Lake Bohinj in the Triglav National park. It's beautiful. We have never experienced Autumn like this before! So many spectacular colours. ... the laptop, then headed in to town to find some wifi. We walked via the church and castle. The sun came out momentarily! But not for long; the wind picked up and it poured. We found a bar to have a beer while we applied for more volunteer work in Italy. The evening cleared and we had a lovely stroll around the lake back to Percy. We're parked at the rowing boat sheds. We cooked up chilli con carne to warm ...
... The ground is so wet and muddy, must have had lots of rain yesterday. Anyway, we got him out! And now we're just parked on one of the roads in the camp. Much harder ground! The campsite is at the opposite end of Lake Bled to the town, so we walked in to check out Bled. Our visit was brief as it was getting late. We walked the entire lake; it's beautiful. Hopefully we see it in sunshine ...
... the middle of the water! It was not meant to be! In lieu of the sunset, we sat and enjoyed the view, before heading back to town for dinner.
The next day was a big day. Four kilometres outside of Bled, lies the Vintgar Gorge. Since we were out of season, there were no buses running out to the Gorge, so we got on our bikes and cycled to the start of the boardwalk. The ride was tough to say the least and Apeksha spent ...
