... walked fm through for a while but hastily turned on our heel as soon as we saw kittens and puppies in cages! They don't eat dog and cat meat in Indonesia so we assume they were there to be sold as pets. Still so sad to see the little guys in cages, it took all of my resolve not to run over and free them! We continued to walk around the city and saw the noisy mosque and also a Buddhist temple which we went to look around. We found from walking around that the city is pretty ...

It took 12 hours to travel from Yogyakarta to Bromo by mini van. A long day. We arrived at the foot of the national park in a village called Cemoro Lawang, where there was really not much. The accommodation is pricey here but we met another couple so we had more weight to bargain the price of the room down. It is such a relief to find like minded people in such a small place! The next day ...

... say bring our luggage down before we go on the trip, they ask if I want to extend our booking, trying to explain is hard work and Ian gets fairly miffed but they suddenly don't speak any engrish, so I thank them for their help and walk off. So now we have to pack before we get a couple of hours kip. The trip leaves at midnight and we have also booked a bus ride to Bali which leaves at 18.00 same ...
