... destination of St Malo on the Brittany Coast. A short detour took us to the medieval village of Josselin with its impressive castle on the river. So to St Malo...a wander down the boardwalk...seduced by a sea food restaurant, huites (oysters) and the best ever noix (scallops) and crepes suzette - a fitting finale for France! Just time to walk around the ramparts of the old town in the warm evening twilight (at 10 pm!). Merci Beaucoup de St Malo, Au Revoir ...

The town was busy and there were boats arriving from Guernsey and Jersey into the harbour. We headed back to Le Petit ...

... in the middle of a courtyard was purple, the cathedral was multicoloured and writing projected onto several walls made the whole place seems rather magical. We went into the cathedral, which was breathtaking, perhaps because it was night time and the lights were on, it was quiet and peaceful inside but it was the nicest church we have seen. Th crypt was a little creepy but very interesting and the stained glass lit from inside was wonderful. Such a beautiful night to spend together in ...

... for supplies at the Super U, supermarket buying charcuterie, cheese, bread and salad to replay the meal we had with Paul and Averil last night. Today has been an even nicer day weather wise so we are expecting an absolutely beautiful evening to eat outside. We rested before heading over for dinner about 7pm and had a family game of soccer in the beautiful garden in the bright sunshine. Apparently Paul has been resting all day so I hope he is up to visitors again ...
