We hadn’t been in Spain long when the heavens opened and finding ourselves in the historic town of Montfort de Lemos we parked by the river. The next day after a stormy night we went for a walk but ...

Moving on from Brittany we headed East into Normandy and to an area very much on the beaten path – the Mont St Michel. Brittany and Normandy still disagree over which region Mont St Michel belongs to, and you could see why they would fight over it. Despite the abbey being an iconic image when conjuring up images of France, the mont had never really been on my must see list either. However it really is a magnificent sight.
