    We docked at Gran Canaria at around 07:00 local time. Clearance was granted at around 08:00, so passengers and crew were able to go ashore shortly afterwards.     We packed our bags to head south today and enjoyed a full buffet of breakfast food. Leaving the hotel on bikes we started a crazy descent with many switchbacks. It is alot like descending from highlands to franklin. It was 3.5 miles so i had to stop several times to rest my hands from gripping the brakes.     ... rock formations are very breath taking. We also discovered that these islands are the training rides for many of the professional cyclists.
