    We packed our bags to head south today and enjoyed a full buffet of breakfast food. Leaving the hotel on bikes we started a crazy descent with many switchbacks. It is alot like descending from highlands to franklin. It was 3.5 miles so i had to stop several times to rest my hands from gripping the brakes.     ... rock formations are very breath taking. We also discovered that these islands are the training rides for many of the professional cyclists. We saw several sets of pro cyclists headed up and down the big climbs. Martin looked and saw team sky, Tinkof Saxo, Movistar and Garmin Sharp were several of the riders we passed.
