    A La Carte day

... I enjoyed my waffle and ice cream. Barry went off to the small shop and came back with some bite spray - a nice gesture but not enough to get him of the hook - 'but he was about to die' After a rest in the room it was out to the town to get Barry a Turkish shave. We settled on one near the hotel which made his face oh so smooth. No flames I. His ears though. Back to the hotel and just about to put my posh frock on when ...

... good but I just needed to sleep! Back in the hotel 2 cups of tea, a shower and a beer and thankfully it was dinner time. We missed waffle time. Turkish night. The waiters had waistcoats and there was a very tuneful live Turkish band! After our fill we nabbed seats in reception for the evening. Due to the weather the entertainment moved indoors. Turkish dancing by the waiting staff. A very good show. Bedtime, I think Barry may sleep through the noise from the bar again. No alarm ...

    Marmaris day

After breakfast we caught the bus into Marmaris 5 Turkish lira, for both of us. Bargain. We got off short of the bus stop and wandered along the front. It was very hot with the local tradesmen making the usual attempts to engage us in conversation with the hope of flogging us a boat trip or meal. We found the indoor bazaar which really just consisted of a roof being put over a normal street restricted to pedestrians and ...

... and that was me done. The Spa - 319 Turkish lira - started with a long sauna, then the girl poured warm water over us before scraping our skin. Then the bubbles, sweet smelling and so soft, along with a gentle massage. Next it was time out on the heated curved benches before the main massage. A short face mask to finish. All in all very relaxing and worth the money. Time ...

... before we needed to move to get back into the sun. Barry plied me with a vodka cocktail and a waffle with ice cream. As we changed our towels at the end of the afternoon we booked in for 'the special discounted' full package for tomorrow. That should make it a good day. Before evening meal we booked for the mud bath trip. - 7.40am pick up! Curry night, Chinese chicken curry, chicken tikka and chicken madras, finished of with spag bol. Then just ...
