    ... of living with their goats etc.

    After spending another few days in Kas (I needed the replace the shower hose again - the previous one lasted 2 weeks! so I installed a reinforced one). Whilst there we had dinner on a boat with young Kiwi guy and German girlfriend whom we had met earlier.

    The last day was our best sailing day, with 25 knots behind us we ran down-wind at 5.5 - 6 knots just with the genoa - a very relaxing last day of the trip.

    ... we felt it sensible to "park off". Sticking to the back roads and keeping as close to the lake as possible in hope of finding something led us to Dalyan. Dalyan is famed for its tourist attractions most of which are reached by boat taxis.


    The turtles at the river mouth, the mudbaths and the Kaunos archaeological site being some of the more popular stop overs if one takes a day tour.

    No campsites were obvious ...

    ... pride. Wow, these people work hard during the season. Evidently in winter close most of the businesses and ”catch up”. One young girl told us – she catches up on sleep first and then with her family and friends. Another fellow comes here from Armenia each year, for the summer. He said they are Kurdish and very poor. He’s been a waiter in TurunÁ for many years. He comes in April and stays until October. His boss – ...

    ... choice for our last evening meal. We had enjoyed other dishes but the speciality dishes requiring "slow cooking" definitely needed to be sampled. We pre – ordered a lamb dish cooked in a clay pot and Serife’s personal favourite, a chicken bake. These were supplemented by meze, a chicken cooked in an iron pan and a mince pancake.
