... the structures all around it. We had coffee, bought lunch and snacks and then went through security to wait for our platform. It was a seamless process and we got everything on the train and settled in our four-seat configuration. Hi get me again...Lanny. Bonjour!
No rain yesterday. Not one drop! Yahoo! Bob runs in the morning while I'm sleeping. Doesn't that sound lovely? The "I'm sleeping part." We eat breakfast in our flat most every morning. We start with granola and then toast and jam. We hit the streets around noon. We have our walking shoes on. A hat for Bob and a visor for me. We are off and running....or walking quickly. ...

... up some more time before we had to be at the Eiffel Tower. The cheese was pretty good, the wine could have been better.

After our snack we walked to the Eiffel Tower park and viewed the tower from a park bench. The tower is massive and I couldnt get enough of it. We learned that it was built for the World Fair and was suppose to be taken down, but in the end it was saved.

... proud of themselves for beginning to overcome their fear, because I am. The views were as spectacular as ever and yet again more photos were taken although by now the batteries running low! We only had ten minutes I. The hotel before we had to leave again. ... so that we would we avoid the crowds. The interior of the palace was unbelievable! It's no wonder the peasants of Paris revolted, as the extravagant life of royalty was unfair and unjust. However, the decoration is superb!

Our day almost finished, we rode back to the train station and said goodbye to Stu:( Back to Notre Dame, we walked home through Village St Paul, bought some roasted chicken and fruit and headed home. Tired but ...
