... is done, and yup, it was cold. After the tour we went to dinner at the brewery restaurant. I had beef filet roasted in Pilsner and sausage. We sat with two gentlemen from Romania - that was very interesting! I slept the whole way back and it was very late when we returned- which is why this post is so late!

Today we are waiting for a bus to take us to Karlovy Vary which is a spa town and the location of the Moser Glass ...

The main, and really only reason for our visit to Pilsen (or Plzen) was … you guessed it …. for beer!!! Apart from the beer, Pilsen has a nice old town, and is the European Capital of Culture for 2015. It is also on the Lonely Planet’s top 10 places to visit in Europe for 2014, so it has to

... shops and cafés. We've today seen hang gliders, gliders and, landing in an adjacent field a few minutes ago, a hot air balloon. Another hot sunny day and last night I collected my first mossie bite. Ten minutes after draining my shoulder it floated into the beam of my torch. A delightfully executed up swinging backhand Federer-style with my electric racquet resulted in a satisfying crack, flash and sizzle and the slight whiff of chargrilled ...

... that be a lesson to the kids out there. Pay attention in school and you too may very well get to drink from the large cup of beer whilst those who don't show interest have to make do with the thimble-sized vessels! :)

We completed the tour and proceeded to Pilsen's centre square for a quick walk around and happy snaps before grabbing some lunch and catching another train on to Prague.

To say it was a sh#t fight to get a seat would be ...
