... house and grounds were lovely and they back on to a forest.
It was a very good day, we enjoyed their hospitality and were very lucky to see more of the Czech that the average tourist would not see.

Beaver slept surprisingly well considering the austere surroundings. Deciding to head off early and check out Plzen. The park in front of the Hotel Slovan seemed to be a meeting point of the city with its shaded walkways and statues. First stop was the Great Synagogue, which is apparently the third largest in the world. It wasn't open to go inside but instead the facade was pretty impressive. ... and wet passages we traipsed through. We had to wear hard hats, with hair nets underneath. It wasn’t the most enjoyable experience I must admit and spent most of it wishing it would end so we could go on the Brewery Tour. What was also bizarre that when we were visiting there happened to be an exhibition of children’s art down in these tunnels. So we would turn a corner and see crappily drawn fish, trees or people drawn by five year olds?!

... They have such a great collection in there, found Old bottle filling machines, testing equipment, rare old bottles, crates, advertising and the building itself was once a brew house.
