... be the hardest. 8 k straight up the mountain, but we were high on adrenalin, the company of our new found friends and the spectacular scenery. We felt on top of the world and we were - higher than the eagles flying around below us. We even saw a group of eagles attack and tear to shreds a lamb, must have been at least 20 of them. It was exhausting but exhilarating and when we arrived at the Auberge celebrated our achievement enthusiastically! It helped that dinner was served with ...

It still retains its delightful medieval atmosphere in its narrow, cobble stone streets. To think that we start our walk over these amazing mountains on Saturday is a bit of a worry, they are huge....& so ...

... go there is a lovely fairy tail looking castle. After not getting off at the right stop and having to stop the bus driver semi in the middle of the road I looked around this sleepy town. The population is only about 3000, so safe to say not many people were about. My first impression of the place wasn’t great, but once you actually get into the old town center at the foot of the castle its lovely and quaint. Beautiful stone buildings, with the vineyards surrounding, the area ...
