... maybe a few feet away, one of which was carrying a guy who was hooked on his horns. The adrenaline was unreal. We sprinted with the bulls into the arena where more madness and playing ensued. Having survived, and feeling very much alive, I headed back to camp, shared one last trip to the river, and we all packed up and headed out.
It was one dirty, amazing, exciting and beautiful week that has so far been our favorite spot. We can't wait to go back some day!!
... floor and I am on the second. Fortunately this has an elevator so getting upstairs with our suitcases was easy today. The rooms are very nice, with marbled floors and en suites. Feeling very spoiled indeed and we are here for two nights. yaayyyyyy. And tomorrow it is local walking, not Camino walking. Yaayyyyy again. The feet can certainly use the rest. Rest day in Pamplona. Was so nice to relax and wander this beautiful city. Apart from an hour spend in Vodaphone making sure my phone and iPad have available internet when I can't find wifi it's just been chillaxing around the city and just for the hell of it I Wandered back out the city gate and drawbridge today to explore this moat and wandered up and down the stairs and walked the moat walls.
My dear friend Hedley especially searched Pamplona ...
... quaint. We came to the cross street where the church was and turned toward it. It wasn't open but from the sign outside it looked Greek or Russian Orthodox. We headed back toward the river and finally came upon the riverside walk. We got back early to catch the bus at 3:10.
