... then farmlands, fields, etc. Larrasoana, Akerreta. I passed a small waterfall, stone paths through the woods, haciendas, farms, artwork. I did not come across a single pilgrim for at least five miles. The first pilgrim i saw was walking the wrong way (backward) because she was worried about being on the wrong path because she saw no other pilgrims. ... the langauge very well. The language mainly spoken in Pamplona is Basque which we attempted to speak. We managed to order, say thank you and ask for the bill. We were quite impressed with ourselves but sometimes the bar staff and locals were laughing at us. Meal was ok, nothing special, sangria was yum - so cheap though. ... white gate and started to walk up a hill. We ended up at a monument on top of a hill. And he was right, the view was beautiful.

We sat on a bench and watched the waves crash underneath us. We spoke more about life, love, and happiness. I've met a ton of people on this trip, but there have only been a few gems every now and then that I could talk to on a deeper level. Mike was one of them. And at that moment, it was exactly what I needed.
