... s sad that people get in uproars about it. We wished that Australia had such history and culture- at no stage do we stop work for a number of days and get together with our families to celebrate an iconic event. If we did maybe it would give people something worthwhile to enjoy rather than get caught up tweeting about mindless sensationalised stories and events... Arriving at our camp on the edge of Pamplona was quite exciting- there were so many people dressed up in white ...

Today started off with a bit of a giggle for me. There was a Korean family doing the camino and there were some giggles last night and one of them plucked up the courage to say that i looked like Hugh Jackman. ... expected, many began to run instantly to avoid even seeing the bulls. We waited with hearts jumping out of our chests. I heard Tommy V who has an obvious height advantage provide the instructions, "not yet Mummsy, not yet". By this stage runners streamed past but still we waited, it is considered cowardly to enter the arena before a bull and although many went early the majority waited for the beasts. I had done my research and new the pros and cons of my current ...

To run, or not to run?

... everyone who had completed the run and had made it safely into the the arena cheered and hugged. A few moments went by and the real fun began. They release a steer (a smaller castrated bull) into the ring with all the people. The horns on these guys are massive. They have the tips of them rounded though, with a squash ball sized rubber cap fixed on the end of each one. It's not going to save your life but it should stop the horn from piercing your skin. This happens a total of ...
