We woke up to a beautiful, sunny day on the island of Mljet. We met our local guide, Djina, who works for Mljet National Park. Right away, we noticed that she had a different accent and she told us that she picks up accents from wherever she lives and travels. The war museum is Fantastic to see as really ...

... than Ston and one kilometre closer to the road. After treating myself to a nice fresh oysters and white wine lunch, I dipped in the sea for a late afternoon swim. From Mali Ston it's only a 20 minute walk to Ston, and after arriving there I found a room to stay for a couple of nights. The hotel and hostel offering in Ston is quite limited if existing at all, so you have to rely mostly on home stays. My accommodation options in this trip have been almost ...

We woke to the sound of the engines of the boat starting up and begin to pull out of Gruz Harbour en route to Mljet Island. Feeling very excited to be officially sailing Croatia we jumped out of bed and stood on the deck as we passed by the Croatian coastline. Breakfast was a much needed spread of sliced meats, bread and cereals to soak up the literal bucket-load of cocktails consumed the night before. Slowly the rest of the crew rose from their cabins and we ...
