After a few hours sailing we arrive at the island of Mljet . We harbour and enter the National park . There are two main lakes and a small island, st Mary's , at one end where a 12th century church and monastery sit. We walk beside the first lake to a small bridge where we catch a boat on the second lake to take us to the island. The monastery is under renovation . we have a few swims and ...

We woke to the sound of the engines of the boat starting up and begin to pull out of Gruz Harbour en route to Mljet Island. Feeling very excited to be officially sailing Croatia we jumped out of bed and stood on the deck as we passed by the Croatian coastline. ... water look blue, hence the name.

We continued to paddle along the shore line exploring and stopping for swims. We eventually made it to a beautiful little village on the far side of the island where there was a fantastic dock for jumping and swimming off. We were also treated to a fresh fish feast complete with, of course, some more Croatian Beers. It was a very relaxing day with lots of water fights, most started by Aiden and ...

As lovely as the week has been, we are both amply brown at this point and will need to seek the shade tomorrow. Low key day and tonight we are in another very chill town in the Elaphiti Island chain, close to Dubrovnik. Let's put it this way. Lonely planet has a 400 page book on Croatia. This island got 2 sentences and isn't even on the map in the front of the ...
