... disembarking, we quickly became aware there were many 'Kareem's' in this place...they truly seem to be in survival mode. Language was difficult...the local language is a form of Portuguese and the other is a Creole form. As we were walking and getting used to using that word we learnt early in life and quickly taught our children...NO,NO,NO!!! we met 4 people from the ship who were negotiating with a taxi van for a tour. The Capitain kept telling the audience that he was steering the ship and things could change if we didn't cheer for him the loudest, the threat worked and he won overall. It was very amusing, the whole audience was in ...
