      ... I think we all needed to hear what she had to say as most of us had just found out that we had been rejected from the DOS for internships this summer (but more on that later). Of course, we swarmed her after the talk was over to ask her more questions, and she was very forthcoming. There are some pictures up on Facebook that I am tagged (proof!).

      ... skills on the christmas rink.
      This is what we hoped to see and feel in a European christmas.

      The only thing missing so far is snow.

      There is also a gorgeous lake that we have strolled along, played frisbee and soccer and fed the swans.

      Also did a bit of shopping, but not a lot you can buy when you only have one ...

      ... make use of the fabulous produce on offer. (However, I did buy a large slab of lovely Emmental cheese for 2 EU which would have cost about $13 back home.) We enjoyed a leisurely lunch by the canals and as the day was getting hotter eventually decided to return to the hotel for a rest………holidays are about taking it slow.

      ... I was finished my hair looked really short. But it felt so good-so much lighter. Afterwards I grabbed a couple of lollies while waiting for Sam. With Joe making sure I didn't scrape the cars on either side or the one across the narrow road, I got in and breathed a sigh of relief and gave myself a pat on the back.
