    over 4 days.

Finally we got into Ugine and at about 1:00 am we pulled into our driveway - with Carissa swearing that we should never ever stay out that late, pushing ourselves and the kids to the limit, yada yada... (but now that we're home safe, i'm thinking, damn, that was quite an adventure, finally some ...

... and with me driving "free-hand" found ourselves heading the wrong way on the motorway. Once the GPS was back in action and it found an exit to turn us around, 60cents euro at the toll gate and we were finally going in the right direction. The total for the tolls today was just over $34 euro for 244 klm - it's not cheap to drive here on the motorways - but it's that or a 5hr drive instead. We did stop for a coffee break at a road side centre. ...
