This lovely city is set amongst large lakes and dominated by the Schloss (castle) which is on an island in one of the lakes. Today a 30min meandering walk to view the exhibits at the Neues Museum on Berlin's Museum Island. Then drive back to Hamburg via the impressive Schwerin Palace, a grand ducal residence and seat. Unfortunately we missed the guided tour and made do with an audio commentary via headphones.
