The rest of our time in Arbatax

A travel blog entry by malloryharvie on Jun 23, 2014

The rest of our time in Arbatax was pretty similar to the first two. Getting up first thing in the morning, going to breakfast then catching the bus to the spa where we would spend our day. Our evenings were all the same with showers after we got back from the spa/pools, dinner at the restaurant and sitting out by the main pool, listening to the music.

I did get taken back to that bank once more, this time bringing Brittany along with me. We ended up meeting ...

      Massages, Swimming & Bank Issues

A travel blog entry by malloryharvie on Jun 22, 2014

Our second full day in Arbatax we booked 50 minute anti-stress relaxation massages at the spa. However, my appointment had to be moved later into the day due to a banking issue I had while on the resort.

I had tried to use the ATM at the resort the day before, however at the moment I was to be dispensed my money the machine told me there was a technical error and went completely black. No money was dispensed to me and so we just ...

Our first full day in Arbatax

... nice. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either - nothing compared to the restaurants we had started to find over the last few days in Florence and Rome. Regardless, we made it work.

After we had dinner we went to the main pool area at our resort and had some drinks, using up the last of our Keiglevich vodka from the cruise. We only got wifi in public areas on this resort, so we also spent this time trying to connect. Unfortunately, the connection ...

      Getting to Arbatax, Sardinia!

A travel blog entry by malloryharvie on Jun 20, 2014

... up against my chair. I wasn't overly happy, but I dealt with it.

Brittany didn't get much sleep that night, she just couldn't get comfortable. I couldn't really either and listened to the playlist on my iPhone 3 times. The boat just got so cold and we couldn't get into our suitcases to get warmer clothes. All I had were the two pashminas I brought with me and Brittany had her jacket and a pashmina she bought in Florence. They just did not ...

      Stuck in Sardinia

... and carried and old school bay watch looking floatie! The sand on this beach (unsure of the name) is black and gritty, it attracts the sun and gets super hot, so after a couple hours I found myself seeking shade at the closest gelati bar possible. Craving refreshment I decided on Nutella and gelati waffles...
Now in my previous experiences ordering waffles with assorted toppings you generally get a drizzle of chocolate sauce and ice cream...so when ...
