    ... of the ride, with a great deal of help and inspiration from Gaille our tour guide who rode with Peter and me for the last 6 kms was a godsend......Paul (no training) Ladonga rode very well to arrive in good spirits, I tip my helmet for the great effort with a bung knee and all.....

    ... cuisine, he seems right at home.

    Snow White "Nat" arrived after the warm up ride just in time for a welcoming beverage and looks quite relaxed and ready to roll....if only she had her "skewers" for her wheels.....going to be tough climbing with no wheels.....thanks to TT....and a spare pair!

    Shane loomed at the front of the pack in the warm up ride and his form looks ominus....he enjoyed the dinner but is no go on the cheese...he ...

    ... delivered the next day or so. EP hired a bike but Bazza will need to wear the same clothes for a while yet.

    Pete and Bazz were now happy – and we went to lunch and then had a bike ride.

    That night we had a superb meal of a very high standard.

    Peche au Jurancon en Melba was a highlight dish.

    ... around with wild irises, roses and lots of others I don’t know the names of. I saw a family of Marmots at Nuria and I saw what I reckon was an Ermine or something run across the road in front of me near Gavarnie. There’s always little lizards scampering over the rocks when you pass by and occasionally big bright green ones which are surprisingly unbothered by your presence.
