CRUISING DAY - Main-Danube Canal / Bamberg
Plan B came into operation last night as the first lock out of Nuremberg was broken and we could not cruise ahead to Bamberg overnight as planned.

... German meal we had both had on the trip. The trout was incredible! We made it back to the train (casually, without running) and headed back to Nürnberg. After a little rest at the hotel we had a Christmas dinner of Mexican food at a local restaurant. ... sorry Bamberg. There are so many well behaved dogs around that you will be seeing the odd dog photo. The one attached here was an old dog that the lady put in a comfy bag and had it attached to a trolley. The dog apparently loved outings but couldn't walk far, so very very cute! As a Sunday we had a lazy morning, just got to breakfast in time. Ron and mainly boys on the boat had special Bavarian sausages and what is called a special smokey beer that is only in this town, mind you it was 10.30a so guess it was 5 pm somewhere in the world eh! ... of us, There were buildings, boats, a harbour, moving cars, buses, trains and trams. The Star Wars indoor display was cool. As soon was we entered a life size lego R2D2 was moving and talking the way he does. I especially enjoyed seeing the life-size lego model of the X Wing ship and all the Star Wars characters.
