    ... really slowed things down. So the trip actually took about five and a half hours but we are so thrilled we did it. It was a very pretty drive and I still can't get over how green it all looks. Also can't get over the number of trucks on the road.     Like in a bike tour race, ever time it moves from one place to another, they call this a "stage".
    So why not copy this procedure, sure I am not racing, but I move as well in stages, actually if everything goes to plan, in many more ,then the Tour de France .
    In this case, today was Nr. 6, I moved from Nurnberg to Bayreuth , a 90 km ride, very much up and down, and again very hot temperatures. By the way, so far ...

    were off. Less than 30kms down the road and we managed to stumble upon a
    genuine Autobahn! For those of you who aren't aware, the proper German
    autobahns have no official speed limit, but rely on people to use their common
    sense.... So what you find is the left hand lane (the fast lane on a left hand
    drive road) is travelling at anywhere from 130-200+ depending on who is in the

    ... were over 1m long and must have been really hard to point and aim; I wasn’t too impressed though with the result of their use – a stuffed boar hanging over a cooking pot…


    We ended our tour with a walk round part of the walls, giving great views over the surrounding town and countryside, but some of the trees were so tall that they obscured the old part of Coburg, sadly.
