      Today dawned bright and sunny, and relatively warm after the icy wind of the past two or three days, and it certainly made a huge difference to the appearance of the town.       ... which is really cheap considering what is in this place and plenty of lockers to leave stuff in. Joy, being aware of how hot she gets in most galleries while she is writing her notes, divested of her coat, hat, gloves and thick aran cardigan and placed them carefully in the locker with her DSLR camera just carrying in handbag and tablet.       Just to finish off the entry for last nights New Year dinner, we were going to translate the menu for you, but thought sod it, why should we do all the work? After all, we are the ones on holiday!

      The atmosphere was great...it was just like sitting down to eat at the family table, everyone dipping in and out of bowls of the same foods, all being served at the same time, and chatting and laughing. The staff had everything running like clockwork and were so friendly.
