Our trip to the Caribbean went off with a hitch. If it hadn't then we had travelled all that way for nothing.
We flew from LA to Punta Cana and landed late at night. Caught a shuttle to the resort to book in. We had a 'Royal’ suite which included a Jacuzzi and extra living room with supposedly a butler and our own resort pool and restaurant. It was a resort within a resort. Yeehar Good time, good times!!
My last trip to DR turned out to be a wedding in Punta Cana. Don't get me wrong, the location was beautiful. I stayed at the Wyndham Resort and the beach was to die for. They had a pool area and live entertainment at night. The actual wedding on the other hand was questionable. I mean, if your going to do a beach wedding, and a destination wedding at that, make sure your doing it on a private beach. I ...
... so plan accordingly, it's worth saving up for.
My parents are "Diamond Members" on a "time share" they have there.
The flight per person was about $670, 6 hours in the air.

... up bar because we only have about 4 hours to enjoy the sunshine and drinks. Well we had about 45 minutes to enjoy the sunshine and drinks, and 3 hours and15 minutes to enjoy the thunderstorm and drinks. All it took was 45 minutes and the rain didn't seem like much a problem, it didn't stop us. Met some great people on the trip and it was nice tohang out with them.

... the lobby to the beach. There is a tram that runs from one end of the resort to the other (incredibly noisy actually). Occasionally you'll see a golf cart drive, taking the Royal Service Guests from place to place. That's the life, instead of waiting for the trams to come around.
The grounds are very lush and very well manicured and the rooms are very nice. The have a lot of Flintstone Theming for the kiddos, so I'm sure families would love ...
