After our long trip from Chamonix we arrived pretty late in Milan. Even though our hotel was off the main circle we were able to spend that night near Duomo thanks to tram line 14. Galleria Vittorio Emanuel II is a beautiful shopping mall near Duomo with Prada, Louis Vuitton and other designer stores.
