... along the entire sea front which was stunning in terms of the blues of the sea, sky and overall cleanliness. A bit Brightonish with the stony beach.

... We headed down towards the hub passing 3 burley machine gun wielding security guards, not very friendly either so I found out but I guess it's not their job to be friendly. I believe France is on high alert at the moment and having a festival on has increased security around the place. ... profusely apologized that our room would not be ready for another 30 minutes, and gave us a voucher to get drinks at the bar while we waited. This is where the 18E/each cocktail comes in. Worth it (when you're not paying for it)! Our room is gorgeous, and we spent a while lounging at the rooftop pool, where I took my 4th sun nap.
