... shops and galleries, before having a coffee. On arriving back in Nice we went off looking for a hairdresser which was easily found. Quite a gamble though when you have no idea how good they are and they don't speak English!!! Anyway we both came out looking tidier and somewhat relieved that it hadn't been a disaster! We were able to check into the Hotel early and thanks to someone's AAA card had a free room upgrade to an upper floor and larger room. After settling in, we walked around Nice and stopped in a small, nine-table restaurant called Davia's, with two guys and a very matronly older lady running the place. ... cars we saw had a price range of 100,000 – 300,000 euro price tags, The number of pleasure boats in the harbours with enormous tags was amazing and it is believed that many of these belong to Russians or others who are involved in crime.

About 10.45pm we were picked up in our coach and driven home admiring the night light sights of Monte Carlo, Nice along with several women workers of the night on the side of the road.
