We got up early, had some cereal and packed up. On the way out we had a last pleasant chat with our lady Park Host/Ranger friend. When we told her we were off to Yosemite on Highway 120 she exclaimed "Are you sure, the 120!! In an RV??" As I'd driven it through SF and (nearly) survived I wouldn't be phased. Jesus. No Really - Jesus.
First we pootled through more endless olive groves and finally the road got bendy ...
... engine after ~400 laps of the Coca-Cola 600, so he didn't complete his attempt to "Do the Double". All REALLY good, though, as Jimmie finally won his first race of the year - his 7th win at Charlotte!
We went out earlier this week and bought a propane-fired portable fire pit, so we've been enjoying a little fire with our wine when the evenings have been cool. (Not tonight, though - it's still too darned hot!)

We have watched several people park their RV's (trailers, class A's, and 5th wheels) and we would not want to be on the road with them. We have double wide pull through spaces which made it pretty easy but some took 2-3 tries to pull in. David has gotten pretty good and my "helping" has improved.

... our mouths watered as Mike poured us generous glasses of the wine. We dug into the food all the while discussing this fabulous winery. When the two Mikes began their bocce ball game, Rachel and I basked in the afternoon sun, relaxing and laughing. I love days when my biggest worry is that our puppy, Ries, chewed through his leash wrapped around my chair. And even that was pretty funny.
